We are accepting applications for a full-time, fixed-term position as Instructor of Space Science/Star Theater Director in the Space Science Center.
Responsibilities: The Instructor Space Science/Star Theater Director teaches courses as needed or assigned in astronomy, space science, space systems development, and astronautical engineering. The Instructor Space Science/Star Theater Director manages the Star Theater, directs and oversees activities hosted in the theater as well as develops, implements, and manages education and public outreach activities for the Space Science Center. The Instructor Space Science/Star Theater Director supports the Space Science Center’s research and development projects and space mission operations.

The Treworgy Planetarium at Mystic Seaport features a Spitz A3P optical-mechanical star projector, and prides itself on programs that are informative, personal and interactive. The planetarium is seeking a regular part-time presenter to deliver shows to audiences of all ages with a variety of background knowledge. The applicant must have a flexible schedule to work weekends and occasional evening events. Position is for 1-3 days per week, depending on the season.
